Training Programs
The NWT Liquor and Cannabis Commission (NTLCC) offers free online training programs to support the safe and responsible sale of liquor and cannabis in the Northwest Territories. These courses help retailers, servers, and employees understand their legal responsibilities, promote public safety, and meet current and future regulatory requirements.
These training programs are delivered through the SkillBuilder website. When you click the link, you’ll be taken to SkillBuilder, where you can either sign in or create a quick account. Once you’re logged in, you can start the course at any time and work through it at your own pace.
SafeServe Certification Program (Liquor Server Training)
SafeServe is a free, online certification program that provides responsible liquor service training.
The course helps employers, hosts, and workers understand their legal responsibilities, recognize intoxication, and promote the safe and responsible sale and service of liquor across the NWT.

CannaSell Online Training (Cannabis Server Training)
CannaSell is a free, online training program for cannabis retailers and employees.
It teaches participants about the NWT Cannabis Act and Regulations, responsible sales practices, how to identify impairment, and how to comply with inspection and record-keeping requirements.
